Electricity is produced from biomass by a process called cogeneration. This is a process which you actually burn the biomass which can include anything from wood chips to dead plants or any natural item you can use. The stream produced from burning the biomass moves turbines in order to produce electricity. This steam can also be utilized for many other different purposes such as drying of fruit, vegetables and edible products.
