The Remediation and Construction Management segment of Tetra Tech, Inc. (NASDAQ:TTEK) provides various services, including program management, engineering, procurement and construction, construction management, and operations and maintenance. This segment focuses on the U.S. federal construction management; environmental remediation, including UXO; wetland restoration; energy projects, such as wind, solar, nuclear, and other alternative energies; and communications development.



Tetra Tech, Inc. announced recenty that it has been awarded a contract valued at up to $55 million to continue its support for high priority pollution prevention programs, including evaluating innovative technologies and providing research and development support to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Office of Research and Development, National Risk Management Research Laboratory. The new Scientific, Technical, Research, Engineering, and Modeling Support (STREAMS) II contract is a successor to the FEATS and STREAMS contracts that Tetra Tech previously held since 2000.

Under the five-year contract, Tetra Tech will support the development and evaluation of technologies and tools to prevent or reduce pollution of air, land, and water, and restore ecosystems. Tetra Tech will also perform treatability studies and pilot-scale investigations, support field activities including risk assessments and site characterization, develop and evaluate models, and provide technical support to various programs including the USEPA Superfund Program, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Program, and the USEPA Office of Water, among other USEPA organizations.
